The Durston arbour press will provide you with the force needed for bending, punching, riveting, squeezing along with other pressing jobs. It can also be used to remove or press in bearings. The steel anvil will provide stable support of your pieces, but this product should be mounted to a bench or pedestal for stability.
The powder coated, cast iron body ensures a long service life, the base is also pre-drilled with four countersunk holes for mounting. The machines pinion drives the steel ram with extra leverage administered by the long arm for easier operation.
Max opening: 36mm.
Please note that the height listed below does not include the handle.
The pressure the Arbour Press delivers depends on the weight you can supply to the handle.
The gears in the handle gives about a 25:1 ration advantage, so if you put 50kg on the handle you get 50×25 = 1250kg.
We rate the press at a tonne (1000kg), but it should take a lot more than that for safety reasons.
